Adepero Oduye is brillaint as a 17 12 months old Black lesbian embracing her id and making an attempt to start her life. While parts of the semi-autobiographical movie are hard to observe, all of it is value it. There are few movies as highly effective, triumphant, and exquisite as this one. Dee Rees is a powerhouse, and Pariah is her queer masterpiece, up to now. This movie is nice, attractive, and humorous and features one of my favourite couples in any lesbian movie. I Can’t Think Straight is a 2008 romance film about Tala, a London-based mostly Jordanian of Palestinian first rate, who is planning her wedding ceremony, and Leyla, a British Indian, the girl she has an affair with. The movie makes an attempt to cope with race, class, and sexuality in eighty minutes to various levels of success, but Tala and Leyla’s tremendous sweet love story and finally joyful ending make it definitely worth the watch.
